Sa-Hali Secondary is located within walking distance of Thompson Rivers University (TRU), and is close to recreational facilities, shopping centres, movie theatres, medical clinics and restaurants.
Sa-Hali Secondary is UNESCO-designated school (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), one of only 3 schools in BC and 90 in Canada to achieve this designation. UNESCO themes are a focus of many student-led projects exploring international sustainable development goals.
Sa-Hali Secondary offers academic courses and electives that include music, drama and art courses, see . Woodworking, metal-shop, foods study and textile classes provide life skill learning opportunities. Sa-Hali also offers an outdoor education program with rock climbing, kayaking, camping and hiking - providing pre-requisites for the adventure tourism program at TRU.
The Athletic Program includes basketball, volleyball, soccer, table tennis, rugby, golf, badminton, cross country running, wrestling and swimming. Student clubs at Sa-Hali include student leadership, the ethics bowl and debate clubs, student voice and the principal鈥檚 advisory group.
Students participate in academic competitions in both math and science, and science fair opportunities are encouraged and supported. At lunchtime there are student sports programs (intramurals) in the gymnasium.
